Hi, I'm
Danielle
About the artist

Bringing every little detail to life.

Hello! My name is Danielle. I'm a 19-year-old artist living in Georgetown, Texas. I specialize in graphite and charcoal to create unique custom pet portraits.

I love bringing every little detail of my clients' furry friends to life, so they can always hold a special place in your heart. I've created all kinds of portraits — dogs, cats, and even horses — and I'm honored to make something so special to help remember our furry friends, past and present.

I've been practicing my skills my entire life, with the hope of achieving my dream of starting this small business. Being an artist is having a gift within the mind, and I take pride in using mine to bring a smile to every client's face.

How it works

From inbox to wall
in four neat steps.

Once your spot is confirmed, the process is paced so nothing is rushed. Most commissions are finished within about three weeks of the photo submission.

Join the waitlist

I open the books to a few clients each month. The waitlist is where you'll hear first — no spam, just one email when a spot is yours.

Send your photos

You'll get a short form for photos, your pet's name, and any details that matter (a favourite toy, a scar with a story, an ear that flops).

Approve the sketch

I sketch the composition first and send it for approval, so we're aligned before the detailed drawing begins.

Receive the portrait

Each portrait is signed, framed, and carefully packed — a finished piece ready to hang the day it arrives.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

How can I place an order?
I open a limited number of commissions at a time. Join the wait list below and I'll reach out the moment a spot opens. You can also message me directly on Instagram at @danielle.poteet.
How long does a portrait take?
About three weeks per portrait once I have your photos. Larger or multi-subject pieces can take a little longer — you'll get a timeline when your spot is confirmed.
What sizes and styles can I choose?
Styles are grayscale, full color, or abstract color. Sizes run from a minimum of 8.5" × 5.5" up to a maximum of 16" × 20"; larger sizes add $20. Every abstract portrait comes with a colorful background, and every portrait comes framed.
What kind of photos do I need to send?
Sharp, well-lit photos in natural daylight work best — at eye level if you can. Send several and I'll let you know which will make the strongest portrait, or combine details from a few.
Can I commission more than one pet?
Absolutely — some of my favorite pieces have two subjects together. Message me with your photos and I'll quote the piece for you.
How does payment work?
I currently accept Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp, with Shopify checkout coming soon. We'll sort out the details once your spot opens and the piece is confirmed.
Do you draw more than dogs and cats?
Yes! Alongside dogs and cats I've drawn horses and other beloved animals. If they're family, I'd be honored to draw them — just ask.
